In the last two years, we have been working really hard to fix up our family owned farm. Recently, we planted a 5.5 acre vineyard next to our beautiful, blue barn. Under Florida Agritourism statues promoting tourism through farming, we decided to open up our gates to the community as we have big plans for the future. We have started booking weddings, special occasions and working on planning seasonal farm to table dinners with local chefs and restaurants. Our barn will be open Wednesdays through Sunday from 9 am-7 pm for tastings and tours of the property.
We started manufacturing wine in the barn behind our house. It started as a hobby on the weekend with a close family friend who had a passion and talent for wine making. He has won many triple golds for his craft wines and has joined the Secret Garden Family as our wine maker.
Our grape wines are made with Muscadines as the Muscadine grapes are the only grapes that can truly thrive in Florida's hot climates. They produce a sweet wine. However, we have produced variations of sweet and semi-sweet wines so we can appeal to a larger population. We also make fruit wines and are working hard to find Florida Fruit to make sure our wines stay local.
